He said red, yellow, black or white/All are equal in his sight...

September 24th, a video came out showing children at B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington, NJ singing songs lauding President Obama. Of two songs... one contained an excerpt from the Christian "Jesus Loves the Little Children", removing Jesus' name, and replacing it with President Obama's. In the other, children chanted "Barack Hussein Obama", praising his accomplishments and acheivements to come.
Many parents are perturbed by this video, stating that their children are being "indoctrinated". Many more are now questioning exactly what their children are being taught, as their fears of earlier this month in regard to Obama's School Address are now being realized in this unexpected manner.

This story struck me to an extremity... the impressions have all rolled in, and now I've finally digested it, in all it's enormity. It smacks of so many things... hypocrisy, communism, and violation of parental rights being among them.

In the Name of Obama! Amen.
Firstly... how is it that prayer and the use of Jesus' name are banned from schools, but you can take a song ABOUT Jesus, replace his name with our president's, and this is permissible? You can laud Obama but not Jesus? Is religion not barred from school's to prevent indoctrination? If religious indoctrination is abhorrent to our public school system... why isn't political? One count of Hypocrisy.

"Mao Would Be Proud" ~Nina Easton on Hannity.
The enormity of this is almost too much to absorb... children, little children, are being indoctrinated with political dogma! The great and almighty Obama be praised. (And yes, I'd be just as miffed if it were Bush or McCain [in the instance that McCain had been elected.])
And children... they throw their hearts and souls into things. So impressionable, they believe. There's a reason they call it "childlike faith". How is it right to instill politics in them? Certainly, they must be taught. They must have some awareness of current events, what is right, and what is wrong... but if anyone, should it not be left up to their parents to decide from what angle they wish to teach them? Bottom line is... it is not for our educational institution to be teaching children what to believe. In politics... so much else is entailed. Moral, values, right and wrong... It is a right of parents to teach their children what they believe is right. Not what the government, or the teacher, or ANYBODY else thinks they ought to be taught. No one else should be interfering in that.
He said we must be fair today, Equal work for Equal Pay. That's one count of communism.
Teach facts, not ideals!

Elementary School Students Taught to Sing Praises of President Obama

A New Day, A New Blog!

And so, it has happened again! Once more I find myself starting a fresh blog after months of neglecting my previous one. Over time, I've found myself rambling on many different topics... you can hear about my photographic adventures on Life Through the Viewfinder... my 365 Project on The Life and Adventures of Cheesy Steve... and my personal side over on Musings on the Meaning of Liff. Etc., etc., etc...
And now... the time has come. My very own soapbox where I can rant, rave, and tirade on political, social, and cultural issues. Up front, I am a non denominational Christian and a right-winging, Conservative independent, yet to decide whether I wish to be affiliated with the Republican party. I hate labels of all sorts, so I very well may be a Republican in all but name!
I could finish here by listing every thing I support and oppose... but I think that will soon become apparent (if this blog fares better than my last...). Instead, I close my fist post with these muchly cherished words...

God Bless the U.S.A.!
